Ferrari 488 GTB (661 hp) and Ferrari Enzo (660 hp)

Good evening, fam! Tonight we will go with a three vehicle garage. The rule is that all vehicles must be within 30 hp of each other. Oh, but there’s more! You need to have a vehicle between model years 2011-2017 , another between model years 2000-2010 , and the last vehicle must be any model year prior to 2000 .

*If you don’t have a lot of time, just pick a vehicle between model years 2016-2017 and another from any model year prior to MY 2011.

**Bonus points for similarities between output, bodystyle, powertrains, and market segments.

No mods! Let’s see what you come up with, but don’t forget to enjoy yo’selves!

Any 90s R32/33/34 Skyline GTR 4-door, 276 hp (wink wink, the legal JDM limit at the time)

01-06 Lexus LS430, 290 hp

2012 Mercedes R350, 268 hp (the diesel only makes 210 hp, and the higher-output 260-hp diesel wasn’t available here)

I will go for none of your bonus points. And I’ll use two cars that I actually own right now. (OK, so I’d actually not have those exact two, but you said no mods. If mods weren’t allowed, I’d make the Miata electric and use it as the daily to, and then the Prius would not be the choice for the modern one... but then the F-150 wouldn’t be necessary, either, so... (The Prius’s replacement in the lineup would probably be something along the lines of a Transit Connect with a manual swap, as hauler and roadtrip machine/camper.))

The hauler: 1996 Ford F-150: 150 hp, full-size regular cab long bed pickup, I6 front longitudinal manual RWD, full-size pickup

Kinja'd!!!

The weekend toy: 2000 Mazda Miata: 140 hp, roadster, I4 front longitudinal manual RWD, sports car

The daily driver: 2016 Toyota Prius: 121 hp, liftback, I4 FF power split FWD, somewhere between compact and midsize “sedan”

Kinja'd!!!

(Those are my actual cars. Yes, I know, I need to replace the headlights on the Miata.)

Pre 2000: F40, 471 HP

2000 - 2010: Dodge Ram SRT10. 500 HP. Little over but only 3 hp.

2011 - 2017: GS-F, 467

I didn’t feel like getting any bonus points, so I made them as different as possible. We have a turbo V8, N/A V8 and a N/A v10. Good noises all around. I wanted to include an LFA or McLaren F1 but I struggled in that power range.

And now let’s go for an insane lineup, that’s actually more, ah, dream-worthy. Now, the problem here is finding enough horsepower to deal with that opener, so I cheat twice - the first time with a car that never reached production in that trim level, the second with a literal mine truck, and using gross horsepower output, not net.

The trackday special: 2014/2015 Toyota TS040: 1000 hp, coupe, V8 mid-rear longitudinal sequential manual RWD plus two motor AWD hybrid, LMP1

Kinja'd!!!

The daily driver: 2006 Bristol Fighter T: 1012 hp, coupe, V10 TT front longitudinal manual? RWD, sports car

Kinja'd!!!

The hauler: 1996 Caterpillar 777D: 1000 gross hp (yes, I’m cheating, it’s 938 net hp), dump truck, V8 turbodiesel mid-front longitudinal automatic RWD?, mine truck:

Nah, the 282 had some power in 71. You’re thinking of the 199 I-6, that thing hovered around 100hp on a good day.

I guess I get body styles and market segments. 2 have V8's(A10 & 650S), 2 are from the same manufacturer(F1 & 650 S), 2 have the same engine builder(F1 & A10), and the F1 and A10 are within 2 hp of each other. Not sure what I get for that.

Pre-2000, McLaren F1, 627 hp

Kinja'd!!!

2000-2010, Ascari A10, 625 hp

2011-2015, McLaren 650S, 641 hp

2016 Viper ACR-645bhp

2003 Koenigsegg CC8S-646bhp

1998 McLaren F1-627bhp

That one was kind of tricky in that range because I had to have the Viper. Hardest one was the middle section actually. Found a few that were just a couple HP out of range lol

I’ve only got part of it, though - I don’t own the truck, and can’t justify buying it to use once or twice a year, especially seeing as I’m in an apartment. (The truck you see in the shot is a neighbor’s.)
